Literature Text

The richness is admired
The linen as white as the limestone
The multitudes bowed before them
The gods bestowed power to the house*
The desert protected them
The river gave them life
The gold the flesh of the god’s
The house* never forgotten
The greatest, oldest empire,
The August*** destroyed
The life forgotten
The life renewed
The spirit for ever in my ba**.

*Pharaoh is Greek for house.
**ba  is Ancient Egyptian for the soul
***August is for Octavian Augustus Caesar (the month of August is named
for him) Augustus killed Cleopatra's son, Ptolemy Caesarion XV.

SORRY FOR THE HISTORY LESSON!!!!!!!
I wrote this for my LOVE of Egypt. Most people just call me Egypt since I am obsessed with it and know way tooooooo much for my own good.

I have been a fan of Egypt ever since I was little. You did this really well, especially by using the words that represent different meanings, it's nice to see someone take a different approach like that.
Well done.
