Love the dress!! you can get away with almost anything at a wedding, i doubt people will think its funeral like (unless you mope around looking all sad)...anyway, dress it up with some simple but colourful accessories and you will be smashing High heels if you can manage...but if its outside on grass don't bother..you will only aerate the lawn

It's just that a) it's a Hispanic wedding b) I'm going to look like Casper compared to everyone else. c) I'll try to take a picture of how it might look put together. I have a necklace that was my grandmother's that I really would like to wear. d) Joe said cocktail dress...is that considered a cocktail dress??

I definitely have the black heels to go with it. I have a pair of black heels that I ADORE, I broke them in very well. I can run after 3 year olds in them with no problem. ^^

Lol hey, most people would look like casper there a cocktail dress is pretty much anything on or above the knees. Even a little bit below should be fine. No one really sticks to dress code My mother always said 'its their wedding, no one is going to be looking at you sweetie' (great vote of confidence from my mother)

But rest assured that the only persons opinion you should care about is Joe's, and he will love you in anything, daggy sweats included

I ended up getting a cute teal dress and though it is Jennie's wedding...I'm going to be the only white person there and the fact Joe has a girlfriend is a big deal to some of them...his grandmother is so excited to meet me...I'm excited to, but I'm terrified at the same time because I'm not that fluent in Spanish, lol. Most people forget about Joe because he always tends to be in the background hiding and doesn't like his family because they're loud and his hearing is sensitive so when they found out that he had a girlfriend...it became...interesting. I hope the focus is 99% on her...because I know that there is going to be...interesting remarks about me dating Joe...a white girl dating a hispanic is...not really seen too often.

I could be in my pjs and he'd still think I'm 'beautiful'...Hell, for the after prom party, my hair was a mess, my make up was smudged, and I looked like a raccoon and Joe (who thought I was passed out sleeping) was telling me how pretty I was...I think it was lack of sleep.
